No Strings Attached and COVID-19

Like all musicians, our ability to perform live in public was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic starting in March 2020. But we are still going strong!

All our bookings vanished overnight but we still carried on, initially just weekly video chats over a glass of wine but then progressing to rehearsals, when the rules permitted, in back gardens, driveways and - most recently - upstairs in our favourite pub.

We had a "soft" reopening on 20 July in Cuckfield in the form of open rehearsal before a small, invited audience of friends and family and we have several private or public events in the pipeline. So please contact us if you want to book us for an event, keep an eye on our Gigs page if you want to see us perform, and, most importantly, stay safe!

Important News About No Strings Attached

We would like to let all our followers know that our gig at Piltdown on 2 January was John Sandford’s last performance with NSA. John has decided to pursue other projects and, whilst we are sad to see him go, we are glad that his time ended with us on a high note and we wish him all the very best for the future. It’s fair to say that although NSA has been a collective affair from our beginnings in 2012, the germ of the idea that became NSA was John’s and he is always welcome back as our guest.

NSA is carrying on as a quintet and, after our first rehearsal this week, the five of us were positively buzzing about the arrangements we tried out – all of which sounded superb, yet subtly different and hinting at more great things to come. We look forward to 2016, for which we already have three confirmed gigs, and beyond with a song in our hearts.
